Duo shows feature Darya’s music in an intimate setting. Darya’s original works intertwine with interpretations of traditional melodies from Morocco and Algeria. With Darya Mosenzon on the piano and Grammy-nominated Charlie Sabach playing oud and vocals, duo shows move between soulful melodies and bursting energetic lines, all the while maintaining the profound listening between the two musicians.
Darya Mosenzon is a pianist and composer specializing in North African music. She began playing the piano and composing at a young age and studied classical music and Jazz throughout her childhood. After starting her career as a classical pianist, she fell in love with North African music and decided to pursue it.
The past year has seen the release of Darya’s debut album, as well as tours in Morocco and Europe with her solo and trio projects. Read more about Darya here.
